Introduction to Cache Proxy

Cache Proxy (CFX Cache Proxy) is a cache/CDN service for FiveM servers. Resource files are stored on the proxy node and shared directly to players from there, so that:

  • Resource downloads become faster and more stable.
  • The main server's load is lighter (bandwidth & I/O).
  • Players don't download directly from the game server.

Setup Flow

Setting up a cache proxy consists of two parts:

  1. Create — creating a cache proxy from the panel you use, then copying the Hostname and Secret Key.
  2. Setup — applying that hostname & secret key to the FiveM server.

Which Panel Is It Created In?

It depends on the service you use — just one panel is enough:

  • Game Panel → the CFX → Cache Proxy menu.
  • VPS Panel → the CFX Cache Proxy menu.

The guides are split according to the panel:

tip

Not sure which panel you use? Check where you manage your FiveM server from — VPS Panel or Game Panel — then follow its cache proxy menu.
